
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from the United States. His most recognizable part was as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (1980-1988) and won the Emmy Award in 1985. Since 2010 Selleck has been co-starring in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. In nine TV movies that are based on the Robert B. Parker novels the actor played Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town police chief, beginning in the year 2005. Selleck also played Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architecture, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and Three Men and A Little Lady(1990). From the time of Magnum, P.I., the actor has been featured in over 50 roles on TV and film, including the movies Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball.
